Musical Talent?  That's a funny name for this tab.  What we really should be saying is that the Jubil-Aires want to share whatever musical talents they have in order to bring pleasure to their audiences.  We are a performance organization, and while we love the pure joy of singing together, we are not hiding any lights under bushel baskets.  The Jubil-Aires have a wonderful team of directors in Richard and Tom, a great arranger in Larry, some great quartets who provide leadership in the chorus, and wonderful members who love to sing a cappella and ring those great barbershop chords.  Talent does not mean we all read music or have perfect pitch or great solo voices.  Talent means an ability to blend our voices with the others on the risers around us.  Musical talent is about learning the notes and the words and then singing the correct rhythms, in tune, and with resonance and tone that matches the others in our section and in the chorus.  These are things that can be learned.  So if someone has told you that you have a nice voice, or if you like to sing and can carry a tune, come join us on a Tuesday evening to see if this is right for you.  And, of course, "musical talent" includes our wonderful Jubil-Ladies, who support us, appreciate us, and tolerate our love of this great hobby!
